Fly Tying School

For more than 35 years our chapter has offered fly fishing and tying classes to area anglers. Our instructors are among the most experienced fly fishers in the area. Most have been fly fishing our local waters for decades.

The Fly Tying School teaches the basics of fly tying. It is designed for anglers who have at least two or three years of fly fishing experience. Participants generally fall into three groups. Some are new fly fishers who want to take their game to the next level; some are self-taught tyers who want to brush up on technique; others might have learned to tie one or two patterns and now want to learn the right way.
