About the event
The TIC Conference and Egg Distribution will take place on Wednesday October 8, 2025 from 8:30am - 2:30pm at the FDR Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, NY. There are teacher workshops during the day. Some of which will be interesting to Trout Unlimited members. Trout Unlimited volunteers from various local chapters demonstrate and teach fly casting during the teacher's lunch break. Come out to see the enthusiasm for Trout in the Classroom at this conference.
This past school year 23 Croton Watershed schools participated in the TIC program which included 32 teachers and approximately 800 students.
The trout releases at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation began in late March and ended in early June. Releases occurred Monday through Friday every week during the release period. Thirty two Trout Unlimited volunteers helped out aiding approximately 38 schools and 2,400 students. Ninety percent of the schools releasing their fingerling trout at Ward…
