Serviceable Equipment Needed

A letter from Harry Kerrigan, our board member for Veterans Affairs . . .

For the past 10 years I've been volunteering with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF), a national organization for disabled active military service personnel. Since its founding in 2005 PHW has become recognized as an innovative leader and model in the field of therapeutic outdoor recreation for the disabled.

As we approach the holiday season I want to ask for your help. Project Healing Waters can't work without a reliable source of good, serviceable equipment for our Vets including rods, reels, waders and boots. Those of you who attend our monthly meetings know that every month I ask that you donate your old or used fly fishing equipment. Instead of just throwing out your old equipment or stuffing it in a corner of your garage hoping it'll disappear please consider a donation. Our disabled Vets don't care if the equipment they use is new or used.

I can't thank those of you who have donated equipment in the past enough. Your used equipment has been distributed among the Vets and they are very, very appreciative. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or donations. The best way to reach me is through my email, tuharry@optimum.net
